Krister Granbom

Krister Granbom (* 1940 ) is a former Swedish football player . The striker , who played for the Allsvenskan in the 1960s , was once the top scorer in the Swedish top division.

Career

Granbom comes from the youth of the Perstorps SK . In the late 1950s, he moved up to the squad of the competition team, with which he rose to the third division in 1958. There she placed in the middle league area.

Granbom, however, had attracted higher class attention, before the start of the 1962 season he joined Helsingborgs IF in the Allsvenskan. Initially only a supplementary player, he played his way into the starting line-up over time and was an undisputed regular player in the 1964 season. He shone as a regular goalscorer: With 22 goals this season in 22 season games, he towered over the competition as the top scorer. He was also one of the guarantors of relegation of the club, which at the end of the season occupied the last non-relegation place before IFK Eskilstuna and GAIS . Since the team came to a total of 42 goals this season, he had scored more than half of the goals for his club.

After the personal success Granbom changed the club and joined the league rivals IFK Göteborg . Here he played until 1966 on the side of Bertil Johansson , Björn Ericsson and Bengt Berndtsson in the top division.
