Carl-Johan Franck , partly also written Carl-Johan Frank (* February 21, 1922 , † October 21, 2014 ), was a Swedish football player . The striker played for several years in the Allsvenskan , of which he was once the top scorer .

Career

Franck comes from Höör . From the local football club he moved to Helsingborgs IF in the top Swedish division, where he ran up in the 1940s and 1950s. With the team, in which he was temporarily on the side of players like Kalle Svensson , Malte Mårtensson , Sylve Bengtsson or Sven-Ove Svensson , he was regularly placed in the top division. In the 1948/49 season he became the best striker in the championship. With 19 goals this season, he pushed Karl Simonsson from Jönköpings Södra IF and Börje Tapper from Malmö FF to second place in the scorers list. Nevertheless, it was only enough for the runner-up behind the rival from Skåne, the tied Malmö FF had the better goal quotient at the end of the season . The personal success brought Franck appointments to the Swedish national B team, in the senior national team he did not make any international appearances . Also in the national cup he was close to winning the title, the 1950 final the club lost to AIK with a 2-3 defeat.

Nothing is currently known about Franck's further career, who played 123 first division games for Helsingborgs IF in the Allsvenskan.
