Sarroch is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5226 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the metropolitan city of Cagliari in Sardinia . The municipality is located about 18 kilometers southwest of Cagliari on the Gulf of Cagliari (Golfo degli Angeli). The Monti del Sulcis ( Parco del Sulcis ) rise on the northern and western sides . Sarroch is on the border between the Sardinian regions of Sulcis-Iglesiente and Campidano di Cagliari .

Economy and Transport

Sarroch lives from tourism and agriculture. In addition to some remarkable tombs of giants and the nuraghi Antigori and Sa Domu 'e s'Orku , the community also borders the Riserva di Monte Arcosu nature reserve . Agriculturally, the area is characterized by olive growing. There is also an oil refinery owned by Saras SpA. The company's legal headquarters are also located here.
