Capoterra is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 23,534 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the metropolitan city of Cagliari in Sardinia . The municipality is located a little inland on the western part of the Golfo degli angeli (also Gulf of Cagliari), about 17 kilometers west of Cagliari .
