List of protection cartridges

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A patron is in the Catholic Church , the Orthodox Churches , the Anglican Church , and in some Muslim areas of Asia Minor saint , which is in particular preferred concern called. The reason for this is usually derived from the life story or the type of martyrdom of the saint. A certain object or a certain place is subordinate to its patronage.

In the following list of patron saints , one has to take into account that the patronage of saints was given very differently regionally and internationally and was also subject to a strong change over time. The change of rulers or the Reformation could push old city patrons completely into the background.

Critical objections to current lists of patron saints or patron saints of the Catholic Church are that these often seem arbitrary. Studies on city patrons have shown that the compilation by Dieter Heinrich Kerler, Die Patronate der Heiligen , Ulm 1905, which is repeatedly copied and does not give any sources, is unreliable. Therefore, a lot of the information can only be used with caution. On the other hand, it is also used as a basis for comparison in more recent studies.
