Laura Vicuña (born April 5, 1891 in Santiago de Chile , † January 22, 1904 in Junin de los Andes) is a blessed member of the Don Bosco family , whose feast day the Catholic Church celebrates on January 22.

Laura Vicuña was the daughter of a distinguished family from Chile and was related to the first Archbishop of Santiago, Emanuel Vicuña . During the civil war , her family had to flee to the Andes plateau . However, her father died soon after when Laura was two years old.

Shortly thereafter, Laura's sister was born. The mother went to Argentina with her two daughters . The farmer Manuel Mora took on the family and soon lived in a partnership with Laura's mother. At the beginning of 1900 she entrusted her two daughters to the Don Bosco sisters in Junin de los Andes. When the mother's partner tried to assault Laura, she remained strong but was beaten and abused by him. Laura then asked for admission to the novitiate of the Order, but she was still too young. In 1902 she vowed her life to God if he would convert her mother. While Laura Vicuña fell ill and died a year later, her mother actually separated from Manuel Mora and turned back to the faith.
