Erentrudis of Salzburg
Erentrudis von Salzburg (* around 650 in Worms ; † June 30, 718 in Salzburg ) was the first abbess of the Benedictine Abbey of Nonnberg and is the patron saint of Salzburg. She is also called Arindrud .
Life
Your name is also spelled Erintrudis , Erentrud , Ehrentrudis , Erentraud or Ehrentraud . She came to 696 with her uncle (or brother), Saint Rupert of Salzburg , from Worms to Salzburg and became the first abbess of the newly formed nonnberg abbey.
She is buried in the crypt of the Marienkirche on the Nonnberg in Salzburg.

- The divine settlement of St. Erentrudis in Salzburg is a pastoral care center with parish church St. Erentrudis, rectory, kindergarten and monastery with the monastery chapel of the Eucharistic Sisters.
- In the Catholic parish of St. Stephan in Freiburg-Munzingen - on the Tuniberg - there is a chapel consecrated to Saint Erentrudis and the Catholic kindergarten is also named after her: Catholic Kindergarten St. Erentrudis.
Namesake
The Erentrudis Salzburg student association is named after her.
