Attractions

The former collegiate church of Saint-Blaise was built according to plans by the Milanese architect Domenico Baina between 1691 and 1701 with a bell tower in the late Baroque style. Inside it shows a ceiling fresco with St. Blaise . In the choir there is a baroque altar from 1767 with a marble balustrade. The side chapels on both sides of the choir are domed and look exaggerated by the trompe l'oeil painting. An extensive renovation took place in 2007.

In the same square opposite is the St. Croix Chapel. The prayer room with the original choir stalls is used by the brotherhoods of St. Antoine and St. Restitude. Restituta von Afrika was named patron saint of Calenzana and Balagne in 1984 by Pope John Paul II .

The statue menhir of Luzzipeu stands in the office of the Chapelle Santa Ristituta (Sainte Restitude), near the road D 151, about 1.5 km northeast of Calenzana.
