The term Mare e monti covers three long-distance hiking trails in Corsica that cross the island in a west-east direction. In contrast to the well-known GR20, these are hiking trails that mostly run near the coast at a low altitude.

Mare e monti north

Runs from Calenzana to Cargèse and is considered the most popular hiking trail. The hikes take about 10 days / 50 hours.

Mare e monti sud

Runs from Porticcio to Burgo . The hikes take about 5 days / 26 hours.

Mare e monti livantinu

Runs from Solenzara to Ghisoni . The hikes take about 6 days / 30 hours.
