Aregno ( Corsican Aregnu ) is a French commune on the island of Corsica. It belongs to the Corsica region , the Haute-Corse department , the Calvi arrondissement and the Calvi canton . The residents call themselves Aregnais or Arigninchi.
geography
The village center is more than 200 meters above sea level. Aregno borders in the northwest with the municipality of Algajola and the Ligurian Sea , in the northeast with Corbara and Pigna , in the east with Sant'Antonino , in the southeast with Cateri , in the south with Lavatoggio and in the west with Lumio .
In the village is the Grotta Piatta with finds of Iron Age glass beads, mostly from the 2nd century BC. Chr.
