Urtaca ( Corsican Ùrtaca ) is a municipality on the French Mediterranean island of Corsica . It belongs to the Haute-Corse department , the Calvi arrondissement and the L'Île-Rousse canton . The residents call themselves Urtacais or Urtacacci . The settlement area is about 360 meters above sea level. The neighboring communities are San-Gavino-di-Tenda in the north and east, Lama in the south, Novella in the south-west and west and Palasca in the north-west.
