Wax puller

Wax puller is a recognized training occupation, which is regulated according to the Crafts Code and the Vocational Training Act. The training period is three years. The training takes place in two different fields , either in the candle making or in the field of wax making . In the first two years of training, the trainees are taught together, while the two subjects are deepened in the third year of training. For trained wax pullers, further training to become a wax puller is available. The duration of the preparatory courses varies from three to twelve months.

Wax pullers make jewelry and utensils for the home or church from wax . No specific school leaving certificate is required for training as a wax worker.
