Francisco Wanderson do Carmo Carneiro , often referred to as Wanderson do Carmo or Wanderson , (born February 18, 1986 in Baturité , Ceará ) is a Brazilian football player . The attacking player , who can act as both a midfielder and a striker , became the Allsvenskan top scorer in 2009 .
Career
Carmo started his career at Tiradentes CE . He came to Fortaleza EC in 2005 through Ferroviário AC . From there he was awarded to River Atlético Clube in 2007 .
In the summer of 2007 Carmo left Brazil and joined GAIS in the Swedish Allsvenskan. He signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Gothenburg club. In his first half series in Sweden he was used in six games. In the 2-1 win over IF Brommapojkarna on the last day of the 2007 season , he became the match winner when he secured relegation in a direct comparison against the bottom of the table with his first competitive goal for GAIS and the preparation of the club's other goal.
In the second season Carmo was able to earn a regular place and contributed with nine goals this season, which brought him ninth place in the Allsvenskan goalscorer list, to early relegation and a place in the midfield of the league. After he was one of the leading scorers in the first division in the 2009 season until the summer break, he was increasingly examined by observers from foreign clubs such as Ajax Amsterdam , SC Heerenveen and Hellas Verona . However, he stayed with the club and proved to be an accurate goalscorer in the second half of the season. With 18 goals this season, he again made a decisive contribution to keeping his employer's league position and, together with Tobias Hysén from local rivals IFK Göteborg, crowned himself the Allsvenskan top scorer.
After Carmo had been chasing goals for GAIS in the first half of the 2010 season , he accepted an offer from the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli , which was overseen by Norwegian Trond Sollied . In the spring of 2011, however, he returned to Sweden. Shortly before the end of the transfer period on March 31, he signed a loan contract with GAIS that was valid until August, as his new club, Marcinho , Amad Al Hosni and Nikola Petković, relied on three other players as permitted foreign players. Shortly after the start of the summer transfer period in August of that year, the Gothenburg club finally signed the striker - with five goals this season, third-best club-internal scorer after Mervan Çelik and his compatriot Álvaro Santos and directly involved in a total of 16 goals.
Even in the 2012 season he was an undisputed regular on the offensive, but Carmo missed his scoring threat and only had two goals this season for him until September. At the same time, the club slipped to the bottom of the table, especially since the only win of the season against IFK Norrköping in April - Camo and Reuben Ayarna were the scorers in the 2-0 win. Due to the tense economic situation at the Gothenburg club, the club loaned him to the Russian club FK Krasnodar from the beginning of September despite the relegation battle until the end of the year .
