Nikola Petković ( Serbian - Cyrillic Никола Петковић , born March 28, 1986 in Novi Sad ) is a Serbian football player .
Career
society
Petković began his professional career in 2005 in his hometown at FK Vojvodina . There he drew attention to himself and the Turkish capital club Gençlerbirliği secured the services of the left-back for 500,000 euros. Since he could not prevail with the Turks, he was awarded to Hacettepespor for six months within the Turkish league . The following season 2008/09 played the defender on loan at Red Star Belgrade .
In January 2009, Petković moved to the German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt , where he signed a contract until June 30, 2012. After his coach Michael Skibbe stopped planning with him in the summer of 2010, he was awarded to Tom Tomsk until January 2011 . In February 2011 Petković was loaned to the Saudi club Al-Ahli until the end of the 2010/11 season. In the summer of 2011 he left Frankfurt for good and switched to Red Star Belgrade .
National team
Petković was Serbia's U-21 international .
