The FahrBus Gmünd GbR was a transport and tariff association in the Ostalb district . The network area extended over the area of the old district of Schwäbisch Gmünd .

description

The network area was 455 km² and divided into square tariff zones. Six regional bus companies were integrated into the community tariff, and together they operated eleven regional bus routes (21, 61, 62, 63, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 266 and 267). FahrBus Gmünd itself was responsible for the community tariff and the coordination of the timetables, but did not operate its own buses. The line concessions for the individual bus lines remained with the respective bus companies. The city traffic in Schwäbisch Gmünd was taken over by the company Stadtbus Gmünd , which, like the local rail passenger traffic in the network area ( Remsbahn ) and Fahrbus Gmünd, was a member of the OstalbMobil network .

Every year the transport companies carried around 1.3 million passengers on 1.7 million timetable kilometers at 490 stops.

history

The association was founded on April 26, 2003. In December 2007, FahrBus Gmünd was largely integrated into the then newly founded district- wide fare cooperation OstalbMobil . On December 20, 2011, FahrBus Gmünd merged with FahrBus Ellwangen to form FahrBus Ostalb . With appreciation of the common tariff Ostalb mobile into a complete traffic group FahrBus Ostalb went on July 9, 2015. Effective August 1, 2015 Transport Association Ostalb mobile on.
