The FahrBus Ostalb GmbH is a traffic group of several bus -Unternehmen based in Aalen , Baden-Wurttemberg . In terms of tariffs, FahrBus Ostalb GmbH has been integrated into the OstalbMobil network tariff since August 1, 2015 , before it had its own tariff.

Company history

FahrBus Ellwangen GbR, founded in 1997, and FahrBus Gmünd GbR, which has existed since 2003 , merged on December 20, 2011 with DB Regio AG and the transport companies Grötzinger, Rühle-Gold and Rupp to form FahrBus Ostalb GmbH. The company headquarters are in Aalen. The offices of the predecessor companies in Schwäbisch Gmünd and Ellwangen and the ServicePoint in Ellwangen remained.

FahrBus Ostalb is a pure group of companies. The agreements with the Ostalbkreis are regulated in a cooperation agreement. This contract was signed by District Administrator Klaus Pavel and the managing directors of FahrBus Ostalb GmbH and its shareholders.

Mileage

The twelve bus companies of FahrBus Ostalb provide a mileage of over four million kilometers per year with the help of around 130 buses. Added to this is the mileage of local trains operated by DB Regio AG in the Ostalb district.
