Anders Pålsson

Åke Anders Pålsson (born November 10, 1917 - April 4, 1999 ) was a Swedish football player . The striker won the title of Allsvenskan top scorer in the 1939/40 season .

Career

Pålsson played alongside players like Knut Kroon , Nils Axelsson and Malte Mårtensson in the late 1930s and early 1940s for Helsingborgs IF in the Allsvenskan. With 17 goals this season in the 1939/40 season, he contributed to the club's third place behind champions IF Elfsborg and IFK Göteborg and was crowned top scorer of the season. He later moved to the lower class playing local rivals Råå IF . With the club he rose to the second division in 1948 and reached the cup final in the same year. In addition to three-time goalscorers Erik Berggren and Bertil Palm , he entered the list of goalscorers as a two-time goalscorer in the 6-0 win over BK Kenty .

Nothing is currently known about the further life of Pålsson. After his death he was buried in a cemetery in the Helsingborg district of Råå .
