Råå is a district of the Swedish city of Helsingborg . Råå, a former fishing village , is the southernmost part of the city. It is located in the city district of the same name, with 3,021 inhabitants (as of 2005) .

In Råå the river Råån flows into the Öresund . The place name probably means "border place at the mouth".

A permanent settlement existed here since the 16th or 17th century. During the Skåne War (1675–79) the Swedes burned Råå. On June 29, 1676 , 15,000 Danish soldiers landed at Råå with around 300 ships.

After further destruction in 1788, the place recovered in the 19th century. At the end of the 20th century, Råå was Sweden's largest fishing village. In 1918, Råå was incorporated into Helsingborg and became part of the city as the towns grew together.

The large small boat harbor , which is only used by recreational fishermen, still bears witness to the fishing history of the place. The townscape is dominated by low houses from the 19th and 20th centuries.
