Råån outside Vallåkra

The Råån , also known as Kvistoftaån , is a river in Skåne in southern Sweden . It flows into the Öresund , the strait between Sweden and Denmark , in the Råå district of Helsingborg .

The Råån rises at an altitude of 70  m above sea level . and has a length of 30 km. It drains an area of ​​about 200 km². For a large part of its length, the river flows through the 100–150 meter wide Vallåkra Valley ( Vallåkradalen ), which is cut 20–30 m deep into the landscape.
