Location of the Eskilsminne borough in Helsingborg.

Eskilsminne is a district in the southeast of the Swedish city of Helsingborg . Eskilsminne is located in the city district of the same name with 1,835 inhabitants (as of 2005) .

The name of the district goes back to the farmer Per Eskil. He saw how workers from the city made excursions to the area where the district is today and bequeathed the land to the city in a will upon his death so that the city could create building plots for the workers there. In 1908 the land parcels were sold, after which a housing estate was built between 1910 and 1920 .

Between 1941 and 1943, due to a lack of housing, sixty småstugorna , small, simple and functional houses with a floor area of 11 × 7 m, on a plot of 650 m² were built here as part of a Folkhem project . The house type was designed by the architect Erik Wihlborg.
