Ove Andersson (born March 14, 1916 in Malmö , † October 12, 1983 in Borås ) was a Swedish football player . In 1939, the striker became the first player in Malmö FF history to win the Allsvenskan top scorer .

Career

Andersson started playing soccer at BK Frigg . He came to Malmö FF via Malmö IS in 1935. With the club he rose to the Allsvenskan in 1936. At first he played with the team against relegation. In the season 1938/39 he finished with the team nine points behind the champions IF Elfsborg in third place, to which he contributed 16 goals this season. He was crowned the top scorer in the Swedish House of Lords , together with Erik Persson from AIK and Yngve Lindgren from Örgryte IS . He then played another season for the club in the Allsvenskan, before ending his career with the Malmö club FK Rapax .

Andersson played a total of 99 games for Malmö FF and scored 44 goals. In the Allsvenskan he ran for the club in 47 games and scored 20 goals. Despite his top scorer title, he was not considered in the Swedish national team .

After his active career, Andersson became involved as an official at FK Rapax . In 1958 he moved to Borås, where he founded his own company. He stayed here until the end of his life and was also buried in the city in the province of Västergötland .
