The Fotbollsallsvenskan 1970 was the 46th season of the highest Swedish football league . The Swedish championship was played between April 12 and October 25, 1970.

Malmö FF fought a duel for the championship with Åtvidabergs FF , which MFF finally won and won the Von Rosens Cup for the eighth time . Last year's champions IFK Göteborg found themselves in the relegation battle and had to relegate to second class after a defeat in a direct duel against fellow rivals Örebro SK on the last day of the game . Second relegated was the local rival GAIS .
