Roman Stanislawowitsch Adamow ( Russian Роман Станиславович Адамов ; born June 21, 1982 in Belaja Kalitwa , Rostov Oblast , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian football player . The striker made his first appearance for the Russian national team in early 2008 .

Adamow began his career at the then fourth division Olympia Volgograd 1999. After promotion to the Russian Third League in 2000, he was loaned to Shakhtar Donetsk , where he was used for the reserve team in the 2nd Ukrainian league.

In mid-2001 he came to FK Rostov and now made his premjer league debut. The greatest success with Rostov in 2003 was the entry into the cup final, which was lost, however. In the following season in 2004 he played for cup winner Terek Grozny , but was only a substitute player in the UEFA Cup . With the descent of Tereks in late 2005, he went to FK Moscow .

At FK Moscow he became a leading player and 2007 Russian top scorer .

After two goalless appearances for the Russian Olympic team in 2003, he came on March 26, 2008 in a friendly against Romania for his first international match.
