Márcio Miranda Freitas Rocha da Silva , called Marcinho , (born March 20, 1981 in Campinas ) is a Brazilian football player.

Career

1996 to 2002

Marcinho began his career in 1996 with the youth club Paulista FC , where he was active until 1999. From 2000 to 2001 he was promoted to the squad, but he was not used in league games. He only made his league debut in 2002 when he moved to Corinthians São Paulo . There he completed 20 league games and scored one goal.

AD São Caetano (2003 to 2005)

In 2003 he terminated the contract and signed a new one with AD São Caetano , where he was active from 2003 to 2005. In the first year he played 40 games and scored a total of 13 goals. The following year he played 25 league games and scored six times. In 2005 he was only able to play two games due to a fairly rapid change at the start of the season. At São Caetano, he played a total of 68 league games, with 19 hits.

Palmeiras São Paulo (2005 to 2006)

After three years with AD São Caetano , he signed with Palmeiras São Paulo , where he was active for two years. The year 2005 was his highest-scoring season in his career to date with 36 league games and 17 goals scored. After this extremely successful season, he could only achieve a meager three goals in 23 league games in the second year. In the two years Marcinho played 59 league games and scored a total of 20 goals.

2007 to 2011

From 2007 to 2008 he was active at the club Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte , where he was used in ten games in 2007 and could not score a goal. In 2008 he was only able to play two games at the start of the season, since he moved to the Kashima Antlers . At the Japanese club he played twelve games and as with the previous club, he didn't score a goal at this one either. He scored his first goal in over two years for the club Athletico Paranaense , where he played 35 games and scored eleven goals. After the year Marcinho moved on loan to al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia , where he was active in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons. In the 2009/10 season he played four league games and scored one goal. In his last season he played another 23 league games and scored nine goals.

Since 2011

In 2011 he moved back to the Athletico Paranaense club , where he was already active in 2008 and 2009. In his first year he played 26 league games and scored five goals. In the second year, however, he was no longer used. In the same year he was also active at the club AA Ponte Preta , where he completed 28 league games that year and could show three goals at the end. The next year he was no longer involved in any league game. He has been with the Red Bull Brasil club since 2013 , a recording of the season is not yet available.

National team

After Marcinho had already played for the Brazilian U-20 and U-23 national teams, he completed an A international match for the Brazilian national soccer team in 2005 .
