The Blue Unicorn was a band from Dresden founded in 1991 . Her repertoire included chansons , klezmer , Roma songs , tango , rembetiko and fado .

Band history

Paul Hoorn and Andreas Zöllner founded the band in 1991 together with Christoph Bellmann and Dirk Hessel with a concert against the Gulf War . From 1993 Dietrich Zöllner was a member of the band, the fourth man changed more often. In the last line-up, three of the four band members were studied musicians; the fourth, Andreas Zöllner, also works as a sound engineer. The last concert of the Blue Unicorn took place on November 23, 2013 in the old slaughterhouse in Dresden and was partially broadcast by coloRadio . The paths of the band members have since separated.

Appearances

The band was on stage several times a week, and their venues were spread all over Germany . The Blue Unicorn often played in churches.
