Coen Dillen

Coenraad "Coen" Hendrik Dillen (born October 5, 1926 in Eindhoven , Netherlands , † July 24, 1990 in Goes , Netherlands) was a Dutch football player .

Dillen started playing football at Vv Brabantia in Eindhoven at the age of 11. In 1941 he went to PSV Eindhoven for the first time and played there until 1946. He then went back to Brabantia before finally returning to PSV in 1949, where he played until 1961. During his time at PSV, he scored 287 goals in 328 games. In the 1956/57 season he was the best scorer in Europe with 43 goals in the Dutch league and set the scoring record in Dutch football that is still valid today. After his time at PSV Eindhoven, he played for Helmondia 55 for two years before retiring from active football.

Between 1954 and 1957 Dillen played five international matches for the Dutch national football team in which he scored four goals.

After his active football career, he worked for two years as the coach of the amateur club RKSV Nuenen.
