The 1999/2000 season was the 44th season of the Eredivisie , the highest Dutch football league. PSV Eindhoven became champions for the 15th time . MVV Maastricht , SC Cambuur-Leeuwarden and FC Den Bosch had to relegate .

In the relegation FC Groningen and RBC Roosendaal prevailed, thus playing in the Eredivisie 2000/01 . Both made it to the ascent.
