Stanislaus ("Stan") Henricus Christina Valckx (born October 20, 1963 in Arcen ) is a former Dutch football player .
Career
The defender (Vorstopper) began his career in 1983 at VVV Venlo . He played for this club for 5 years, including 3 years in the honor division, before moving to PSV Eindhoven in 1988 . He moved to Sporting Lisbon in 1991 but returned to PSV after 2 years before ending his career in 2000.
In addition, he recorded 20 appearances for the Dutch national football team in which he did not score a goal. He made his debut on September 26, 1990 in an international match against Italy, which was lost 1-0.
From 2004 to 2008 Valckx was a manager at PSV, and in the 2009/10 season he was technical director at the Chinese first division club Shanghai Shenhua .
