The A Grupa 1999/2000 was the 76th season of the highest Bulgarian football league . The season began on August 6, 1999 and ended on June 9, 2000.

Levski Sofia became the master .

mode

The 16 teams played against each other twice on a total of 30 match days, divided into a first and a second round. Since it was decided to reduce the league to fourteen clubs for the following season, the last three teams relegated directly to the B Grupa and were replaced by only one team. The clubs in places 12 and 13 played in the relegation against second and third from the B Grupa.
