Bulgarian Football Championship 1939/40

The Bulgarian Football Championship in 1941 was the 17th season of the highest Bulgarian football league . Slavia Sofia became champion for the fifth time .

mode

The league system of the past few years has been abandoned due to the high costs incurred by clubs outside of Sofia. The twelve winners of the regional championships determined the champions in cup mode with a return leg.

Associations from Vardar Macedonia , Thrace and Macedonia were also eligible, as they were under Bulgarian administration during World War II . However, only one team from Skopje took part.
