The Bulgarian Football Championship 1937/38 was the 14th season of the highest Bulgarian football league . For the first time the season was carried out in the league system .

mode

Originally eight teams were supposed to take part, but after protests ten teams were admitted: four from the Sofia regional district, two from Varna and one each from Burgas, Russian, Plovdiv and Yambol.

The ten teams played against each other twice in the course of a season; once at home and once away. So each team played 18 games. The two bottom of the table relegated to their regional groups and were replaced by two promoted teams.
