The Zbiornik Świnna Poręba is a reservoir on the Skawa in the Polish Lesser Poland Voivodeship . It is located in the Little Beskids .

Behind the 54 meter high dam the water which is Skawa and smaller tributaries dammed. With full back which includes reservoir 161 million cubic meters of water. The water area is then 10.35 square kilometers.

history

The decision to build the dam in Świnna Poręba was made in 1986. The reservoir was finally flooded in 2017. It is used both as a swimming lake and as a protective storage against flooding and as a hydropower plant.

tourism

There are several beaches and marinas on the shores of the lake, where sailing boats, pedal boats and kayaks can be rented.
