FD Spartak Sofia , ( Bulgarian Физкултурно Дружество Спартак София , English transcription: Fizkulturno Druzhestvo Spartak Sofia ) was a football club from Sofia , Bulgaria and was founded in 1947 from a merger of FK '13 Sofia and Rakowski.
history
In the 1948/49 season they made their debut in the 1st division , but withdrew despite a 5th place at the end of the season. In the 1951 and 1952 season, the club was runner-up. The greatest success was achieved in 1968 in the cup . Participation in the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1968/69 was rejected in protest.
On January 22, 1969, they merged with athlete Kremikovci Sofia to form DFS Levski Sofia . Since the merger took place during the winter break, Akademik Sofia took the place.
In 1990 independence was restored. In 2007 they joined Lokomotiv-101 Sofia .
