The A Grupa 1960/61 was the 37th season of the highest Bulgarian football league . ZDNA Sofia became champion for the eighth time in a row and for the eleventh time. In addition, the club secured the double for the third time .

mode

The league was increased by two places to 14 clubs compared to the previous year. The teams played against each other twice on a total of 26 match days, divided into a first and a second half. At the end of the season, the two bottom of the table rose to the B Grupa .
