The Beroe Stadium ( Bulgarian Стадион "Берое" ) is a football stadium with an athletics facility in Stara Sagora , Bulgaria . The stadium's nickname is "The Temple" . The facility is the home of the Bulgarian football club Beroe Stara Sagora and offers 12,128 seats.

history

Construction of the sports facility began in the spring of 1955 and was inaugurated on April 4, 1959 by Atanas Dimitrov. The stadium is located in the north-west of Stara Sagora in the Beroe sports complex . The complex includes e.g. B. three more football fields, a tennis facility with ten places, an athletics hall and other sports facilities such as a hall for table tennis , boxing , gymnastics and futsal .

The stadium consists of the two-story, covered main stand and a surrounding grandstand. The athletics facility meets the requirements of the IAAF world association . The floodlight system achieves an output of 1,500 lux and the plastic seats are in the club colors white and green, and the stadium has a new 32 m² display board .

In 2015, matches of the U-17 European Football Championship were played in the stadium, including a semi-finals.
