The Balgarska Armija Stadium ( Bulgarian стадион "Българска армия" , German  Stadium of the Bulgarian Army ) is a football stadium in the Bulgarian capital Sofia .

history

In 1923 the stadium was built and opened. From 1965 to 1967 it was renovated according to the plans of the architects Anton Karawelow, S. Ivanov and the Prono office . Further renovations were carried out in 1982 and 1998. Today the Bulgarian U-21 national soccer team plays its games in this stadium.

It is the home stadium of CSKA Sofia and has 22,015 seats. The stadium is located in the Borisova Gradina (Boris Park) district in central Sofia. The 22,015 places are distributed as follows

  • Sector A - 6,417 seats
  • Sector B - 4,889 seats
  • Sector V - 5,689 seats
  • Sector G - 5,020 seats
  • 2,100 standing places
