The Premier League 1999/2000 was the eighth season of the Premier League , which was organized by the FA , and at the same time the 101st first division season in English football. It began on August 7, 1999 and ended on May 14, 2000.

Manchester United was able to defend its championship title from the previous season. In the First Division dismount had to FC Wimbledon , Sheffield Wednesday and Watford FC . The top scorer was Kevin Phillips from Sunderland AFC with 30 goals .
