The Football League First Division 1900/01 was the 13th season of the highest English football league . It began on September 1, 1900 and ended on April 30, 1901.
The Liverpool won with two points ahead of Sunderland AFC for the first time in club history the English Championship. Both newcomers The Wednesday and Bolton Wanderers were able to receive the class. Instead, Preston North End and West Bromwich Albion had to go into the Second Division . These two clubs should be replaced in the following season by the two second division promoted Grimsby Town and Small Heath .
A total of 386 players were used, with Notts County, Liverpool FC and Sunderland AFC having the fewest with 18 and the Bolton Wanderers with 28 the most players in league games. 105 newcomers opposed 112 footballers, who last came into play in the 1900/01 season. 26 players were able to play all 34 league games of their club.

List of goalscorers
The championship team of Liverpool FC
The following table lists all players who played in a league game for Liverpool FC during the 1900/01 season. It must be noted that in English football a minimum number of games is usually required in order to receive the official championship medal. Since there was uncertainty about the specific regulation before the introduction of the Premier League, all players who presumably did not receive a championship medal due to their low contribution were marked with an asterisk (*). The number of missions and the goals scored are given in brackets.
