Sean Stewart
Sean Stewart (born June 2, 1965 in Lubbock , Texas ) is an American-Canadian science fiction and fantasy author.
Life
Born in Texas, he moved to Edmonton , Alberta , Canada at the age of 3 . In 1987 he was awarded an Honors degree in English by the university there .
Since then, he has published a number of fantasy novels. With these sometimes quite realistic works, he is particularly successful in Canada. For his novel Galveston , he received both the World Fantasy Award and the Sunburst Award in 1991 and thus greater recognition worldwide. In 1993 he received the Arthur Ellis Award in the category Best First Crime Novel from the Crime Writers of Canada .
He now lives in Davis , California with his wife and two daughters .
