Football League First Division 1930/31

The Football League First Division 1931/32 was the 40th season of the highest English football league . It began on August 29, 1931 and ended on May 7, 1932.

The Everton won with two points ahead of defending champion Arsenal the fourth English championship in their history - and as intermediates. In addition to Everton, West Bromwich Albion, the second climber, was able to keep the class - and not only that, West Bromwich also won this year's FA Cup. Grimsby Town and West Ham United had to go into the Second Division . These two clubs should be replaced in the following season by the two second division promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United .

A total of 538 players were used, with Everton with 20 the fewest and Derby County with 30 the most players in league games. 119 newcomers were opposed to 142 footballers who last came into play in the 1931/32 season. 18 players were able to play all 42 league games of their club.

The championship team of Everton FC

The following list lists all players who played in a league game for Everton during the 1931/32 season. It must be noted that in English football a minimum number of games is usually required in order to receive the official championship medal. Since there was uncertainty about the specific regulation before the introduction of the Premier League, all players who presumably did not receive a championship medal due to their low contribution were marked with an asterisk (*). The number of appearances and the goals scored are given in brackets, lastly the number of all first division games up to that point. The players from Everton had played a total of 1761 top division games at the end of the season.
