The Football League Second Division 1931/32 was the 36th season of the Football League Second Division as the second highest English football league . It began on August 29, 1931 and ended on May 7, 1932.

Second division champions were the Wolverhampton Wanderers and also the second-placed Leeds United rose to the Football League First Division . For the two promoted teams in the following second division season 1932/33, the two first division clubs Grimsby Town and West Ham United ranked in the table below . FC Barnsley and Bristol City had to relegate from the Second Division , with Barnsley henceforth having to compete in the North Season Football League Third Division North and Bristol City in the Football League Third Division South . Instead of the two clubs took in the following season 1932/33 Third Division North champions Lincoln City FC and from the Third Division South of the winner Fulham FC, the vacant positions.
