The Football League Second Division 1934/35 was the 39th season of the Football League Second Division as the second highest English football league . It began on August 25, 1934 and ended on May 4, 1935.

Second division champions were Brentford FC and the second-placed Bolton Wanderers also rose to the Football League First Division . In the following second division season 1935/36, the two first division clubs Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur, ranked in the table below, took the places for the two promoted teams . Oldham Athletic and Notts County had to relegate from the Second Division , with Oldham now having to compete in the North Season Football League Third Division North and Notts County in the Football League Third Division South . Instead of the two clubs in the following season 1935/36 Third Division North champion Doncaster Rovers and from the Third Division South the winner Charlton Athletic took the vacant positions.
