The Football League First Division 2003/04 was the twelfth season of the Football League First Division as only the second highest English football league and 101st second division season overall. It started on August 9, 2003 and ended on May 9, 2004.

The championship won Norwich City , which also secured participation in the 2004/05 Premier League season . Behind runner-up West Bromwich Albion , Crystal Palace also rose to the Premier League as a play-off winner. In the Football League One relegated had the Walsall FC , Bradford City and FC Wimbledon .
