The Football League Second Division 1957/58 was the 55th season of the Football League Second Division as the second highest English football league . It began on August 24, 1957 and ended on May 1, 1958.

West Ham United became second division champions and the second-placed Blackburn Rovers were promoted to the Football League First Division . Instead of the two clubs in the following season 1958/59 the last Third Division North champion Scunthorpe United (until 1958: "Scunthorpe & Lindsey United") and from the Third Division South the last winner Brighton & Hove Albion took the free Positions.
