The Football League Championship 2007/08 was the fourth season of the English Football League Championship and also the 16th season of the top division of the Football League - after the introduction of the Premier League - as only the second highest English league. It started on August 11, 2007 and ended on May 24, 2008.

The championship won the West Bromwich Albion , which secured participation in the 2008/09 Premier League season . Behind runner-up and co-promoted Stoke City , third-placed Hull City secured promotion to the Premier League after successful play-off victories against Watford FC and Bristol City . In the Football League One had to dismount Leicester City , Scunthorpe United and Colchester United .
