Premier League 2005/06

The Premier League 2006/07 was the 15th season of the Premier League , which was organized by the FA , and at the same time the 108th first division season in English football. It began on August 19, 2006 with Sheffield United against Liverpool FC and ended on May 16, 2007.

Champion was Manchester United , which won the Premiership title and the 16th championship trophy for the ninth time. As a climber came Reading FC , Sheffield United and Watford FC added.

Wigan Athletic were able to save themselves on the final day of the game with a 2-1 win at Sheffield United. The latter rose together with Charlton Athletic and Watford FC in the Football League Championship.
