Football League First Division 1909/10

The Football League First Division 1910/11 was the 23rd season of England's top football league . It began on September 1, 1910 and ended on April 29, 1911.

Manchester United won the second English championship in club history by one point. The Red Devils won 5-1 against Sunderland AFC on the last day of the match. Competitor and defending champion Aston Villa lost at the same time at Liverpool with 1: 3 and with it the championship lead.

Both newly promoted Manchester City and Oldham Athletic were able to receive the class. Instead, Bristol City and Nottingham Forest had to move into the Second Division . These two clubs should be replaced in the following season by the two second division promoted West Bromwich Albion and Bolton Wanderers .

A total of 516 players were used, with Oldham Athletic with 19 the fewest and Bristol City, Everton FC and Preston North End with 30 the most players in league games. 150 newcomers opposed 151 footballers who last came into play in the 1910/11 season. 9 players were able to play all 38 league games of their club.

    The Manchester United championship team

The following table lists all the players who played in a league game for Manchester United during the 1910/11 season. It must be noted that in English football a minimum number of games is usually required in order to receive the official championship medal. Since there was uncertainty about the specific regulation before the introduction of the Premier League, all players who presumably did not receive a championship medal due to their low contribution were marked with an asterisk (*). The number of missions and the goals scored are given in brackets.
