The Premier League 1998/99 was the seventh season of the Premier League , which was hosted by the FA , and at the same time the 100th first division season in English football. It began on August 15, 1998 and ended on May 16, 1999.

Champion Manchester United , in addition to winning the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League , the Triple fetched. Charlton Athletic , Blackburn Rovers and Nottingham Forest had to relegate to the First Division . The top scorer was Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink from Leeds United , Michael Owen from Liverpool FC and Dwight Yorke from Manchester United with 18 goals each .
