The Football League First Division 1924/25 was the 33rd season of the highest English football league . It began on August 30, 1924 and ended on May 2, 1925.
Huddersfield Town defended last year's title with two points ahead of West Bromwich Albion and won its second English championship in a row. Both promoted Leeds United and FC Bury were able to hold the class; instead, Preston North End and Nottingham Forest had to go into the Second Division . These two clubs should be replaced in the following season by the two second division promoted Leicester City and Manchester United .
A total of 543 players were used, with FC Bury with 20 the fewest and Aston Villa with 32 the most players in league games. 153 newcomers opposed 141 footballers who last came into play in the 1924/25 season. 13 players were able to play all 42 league games in their club.
