Football League First Division 1905/06

The Football League First Division 1906/07 was the 19th season of the highest English football league . It began on September 1, 1906 and ended on April 27, 1907.

Newcastle United won the second English championship in the club's history with three points ahead of newly promoted Bristol City . In addition to Bristol City, Manchester United was also the second climber to receive the class. Instead, Derby County and Stoke FC had to move into the Second Division . These two clubs should be replaced in the following season by the two second division promoted Nottingham Forest and Chelsea FC .

A total of 517 players were used, with Bristol City with 18 the fewest and FC Bury with 32 the most players in league games. 181 newcomers opposed 154 footballers, who last came into play in the 1906/07 season. 11 players were able to play all 38 league games of their club.

    The Newcastle United championship team

The following table lists all players who played in a league match for Newcastle United during the 1906/07 season. It must be noted that in English football a minimum number of games is usually required in order to receive the official championship medal. Since there was uncertainty about the specific regulation before the introduction of the Premier League, all players who presumably did not receive a championship medal due to their low contribution were marked with an asterisk (*). The number of missions and the goals scored are given in brackets.
